Clean and comfortable rooms.

I was extremely disappointed with the service. The air conditioning in my room was not functioning, making the stay uncomfortable. Additionally, I experienced awful cigarette smoke filtering through the vents at night, which woke me up. This was not acceptable, especially considering other reviews mentioned this issue. The staff seemed indifferent to my complaints, leaving me frustrated throughout my entire stay.

the gym equipment was outdated. but the concierge Tim and trainee Kevin were super helpful with directions. also, the cleaning staff was prompt every day keeping our room spotless. and Allen at checkout made everything smooth, waiving charges without hesitation.

The breakfast buffet was fantastic! I mean, they had options for everything, whether you wanted a hearty Western meal or something lighter from the Asian side. I couldn’t help but grab seconds! The concierge was also a huge help, securing tickets to 'Impressions. ' Nah, not the kind of show you’d easily get into without their help.

Sure, it wasn’t exactly cheap, but I’d say it was worth the expense.

The location across from the lake is unbeatable! We had access to a fantastic lounge with stunning views and great snacks! Plus, there's a cozy bar area and a nice swimming pool to unwind after exploring.

Had a great group vacation with friends! The hotel is really close to popular spots like Xintiandi Westlake and the city center. Practical tip, enjoy the breakfast. it's a fantastic start to your day. Overall, the atmosphere is relaxing, perfect for hanging out with friends.

One downside was the service at the restaurant. my caesar salad came with prawns instead of chicken, which they didn't mention. It would be helpful if they communicated these changes better.

Excellent Location Near West Lake

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel, particularly for its fantastic location just minutes away from West Lake. The staff was friendly and I appreciated the spacious and clean room that featured a great shower with good water pressure. However, the breakfast selection didn't quite meet my expectations for a 5-star experience.

Sofitel provides excellent service, with attentive staff who went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay. The location is perfect, just steps away from the picturesque West Lake. Breakfast was outstanding, featuring a variety of fresh pastries and made-to-order dishes. The spacious and clean rooms were an additional highlight.

The gym facilities could use improvement.
